Bridge Creative is an award-winning social enterprise that supports autistic adults and adults with a learning disability into meaningful employment. We aim to create jobs within the events, arts and creative industries, but support people in lots of different workplaces too.
We raise the aspirations of people we work with, supporting people to dream big and lead the best life possible. We do this by working with people to build confidence, independence, improve their health and wellbeing, make friends, learn new skills, gain real work experience and move into paid employment.
Only 29% of autistic adults and less than 5% of adults with a learning disability are in any form of paid employment, yet many more want to work.
We believe with the right support, people can have equal access to employment and reach their potential.

Our team of Support Mentors and In-Work Supporters are committed to working with people to reach their potential! More than half of our team are neurodivergent or have a learning disability, which has helped us achieve some fantastic outcomes for the people we support.
Founding Director, Ben has worked with adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults for over 13 years, and previously managed a music festival!
Our Directors each have lived experience of the issues Bridge Creative works to improve, from living with a learning disability, to experience of long-term youth unemployment.
Meet the rest of our team here.
Since our launch in 2018, we've worked with over 300 autistic adults and adults with a learning disability, many of whom are now in paid employment whilst others have achieved incredible personal goals and are leading more fulfilling lives.
In 2024 we worked with over 40 different events and festivals across the UK from We Out Here in Dorset, to Belladrum Festival in the Scottish Highlands, delivering over 10,000 hours of supported employment.
Events we organise in County Durham create work experience and paid jobs for over 20 local adults, and attract over 70,000 visitors to County Durham each year.
Our Keeping People Connected service has made a life-changing difference to the people we support. One of our proudest moments was seeing someone signed off from their specialist mental health team as no longer needing support - after 25 years!
We’ve helped people take big steps toward independence, including moving into their own homes and building the confidence to live independently. Most importantly, our team has built a level of trust where people feel safe opening up. This has led to life-saving interventions, as people have disclosed when they were in danger, allowing us to step in and get them the urgent help they needed.
Our work has been recognised nationally, as 1 of 3 shortlisted organisations for Best Small Supported Employment team in the UK at the BASE Awards, winner of the Access All Areas Inclusion and Diversity Award, winner of Public Service Award at the County Durham Together Awards, and shortlisted for the prestigious Nordoff and Robbins Music and Culture for Wellbeing Award at the Northern Music Awards.
